DESTRUCTIVE TIDAL WAVE. NATIVES'"PUNISHED. MURDER AND CANNIBALISM. By Telegraph.— Association.-Copyright. Sydney, May 5. News from the Pacific Islands states that great damage has been done in tho Marshall Islands by a tidal wave. At the Carolines one small island was completely washed away. A native of German New Guinea has been shot for killing the captain of the Sea Ghost, 18 months ago. The warship Moewa also punished the natives concerned in taking the vessel and murdering the crew. At the Marshall Group a trader named Petersen sent two boats down the coast for trade, and while the crew were asleep the natives murdered them, ato their bodies, and burnt the boats.
