The Northern Company's steamer Ohine-mui-i arrived from Hohoura and Waiharara last night with a cargo of kauri gum, etc. Yesterday tile ship Nelson sailed from Lvttelton for Falmouth with a cargo of grain. The Northern Company's steamer Clansman arrived yesterday morning from Mangonui, Whansaroa, and Russell, with a number of passengers and cargo of kauri gum and sundries. She loft for Whangarei at night, and returns late to-night. Last night the Northern Company's steamer Muritai left for Kennedy's Bay, Kuaotonn, and Mercury Bay. Tile departure of the Northern Company's steamer Chelmsford, fo. Wliangarei, has been postponed until five a.in. to-morrow. On Thursday next the Union Company's steamer Pukaki is due from Westport with a cargo of coal. Yesterday the Union Company's steamer Botokino arrived at tho Bluff from Auckland, and loads produce back, and calls at Oamaru and Timaru coming north. The brigantino Eliza Firth sailed from Kalpara for Lyttelton yesterday. The barque Royal Tar sails fo> ICaipara, next week to load timber for Melbourne. The schooner Queen sails for Kaipara today. The vessel has been sold by Captain Jones to Mr. Sonnnerfield, of this city. Yesterday the Fijian Government steamer Ol.vde took in a supply of coal from tho Bevonport Ferry Company's bulk Examiner, and leaves for Fiji to-day.

THE RINGDOVE. H.M.s. Ringdove left Lyttelton for Auckland yesterday. THE MARIPOSA. The American mail steamer Mariposa is due on Tuesday morning next, from San Francisco, Honolulu, and Apia, and proceeds on to Sydney a few hours after arrival. THE MARAHOA. The Union Company's steamer Mararoa i? expected to arrive from Sydney to-morrow afternoon. THE TARAWERA. Tile Union Company's steamer Tarawera leaves Qisborne foi Auckland to-day, and should arrive to-morrow morning. She leaves for Sydney at 5 p.m. on Monday. THE UPOLU. The Union Company's steamer ITpolti is due from Fiji on Thursday next, and leaves for Wellington on discharge of her cargo of fruit. THE W AIM ATE. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Waimatc commenced discharging her cargo from London yesterday morning, all the packages being landed in splendid order. Both Captain Hamon, tjie commander, and Mr. W. Stewart, the chief engineei of the steamer, were cordially congratulated yesterday by their many friends upon the record trip made by th Waimate. THE OVALAU. The Union Company'? steamer Ovalau, Captain F. W. Macbeth, arrived from the Eastern Pacific last evening with a cargo of pearlshell, copra, fruit, etc. Mr. J. A. Tubby, the purser, reports:— Ovalau left Auckland on the 11th ult. at 6 p.m., and reached Rarotonga at 5 p.m. on the 18th; departed at 3 p.m. on tho 19th; arrived at Papeete on the 22nd at 3 p.m.; discharged and loaded cargo, and left at 5.30 p.m. on the 23rd, and anchored at the Island of Itaiatoa at 6 a.m. on the 24th. Loaded oranges, and departed at 11 p.m. the same date, and arrived at Rarotonga at 6 a.m. on the 27th. Shipped fruit, etc., and departed at 6 a.m. on the 28th. arriving at 6.30 p.m. resterday. Experienced fine weather with the exception of the Ist inst., when head wind and swell were met with on that date, followed by fine .veathei to arrival. The Ovalau berthed at tho Hobson-street Wharf, and will be floated into the Auckland Dock this afternoon Jo. cleaning and painting. Sho leaves for the Eastern Pacific again on Tuesday evening next.
