TIMARU HARBOUR.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Timaru, Friday. A report, presented to the Harbour Board by Mr. J. P. Maxwell, consulting engineer, recommends tho construction of a rubblemound extension of the breakwater from the bend eastward 1500 ft, the first half to be started at once and completed in two or three years, at a cost of £35,000 ; and the other half within 10 years at some future time, the eastern molo to form a basin for starting another mole for forming an outer harbour.
