GENERAL LICENSE REFUSED. WINE LICENSE OR ANTED FOR SEVEN DAYS. The Licensing Committee met in camera at Mr. 11. W. Brabant's room, Magistrate's Court, yesterday forenoon to consider the application of Michael Foley for a conditional license to sell spirituous liquors at the Auckland Exhibition. Thero were present: Mr. Brabant (chairman), and Messrs. Craig, Julian, Patterson, Wright, and Masefield. It was decided to refuse tho license. It is understood that three members were in favour of granting the license for the seven days, as applied for, and that the two other members and the chairman wero against it. and the casting vote of Ihe chairman decided the maltor.
Mr. Walter Stimpson was granted a wine license on the understanding that it was for seven days only.
