AN ABSENT BANKRUPT.
[Br telegram:.—tress ASSOCIATION] Dwjkdix, Monday. Mr. Justice PENNEFATiiKn held a special sitting in bankruptcy re Francis, Heriot Laing, for whose arrest a warrant was issued, on the ground that lie was absenting himself with a view to delaying proceedings under the Bankruptcy Act. The official assignee reported being unable to execute a warrant for Laing's arrest, but said he did not believe Laing had left the /polony. The judge said he would hold a special sitting the moment he was advised of the execution of the warrant.
