THE RAROTONGAN TROUBLE.
[BI TELEGRAPH,—SPECIAL CORRESIONDENT.] Wellington, Thursday. Mr. John Dothie, interviewed regarding the Rarotongau trouble, said aa (a the visit of the Chief Justice, he would be surprised if the occasion was such as to justify bis withdrawal from his important duties on the Bench here. The colony has only at present the privilege of paying the salary of the Rnrotongan Resident, without any control in the island, or even over their own paid officer. Disputes similat to the present .ire probably unavoidably and may become frequent if treated as of; the undue importance which is apparently being attached to the present affair.
