Ok Saturday last, tho Auckland Customs Department! despatched Messrs. Rowe and Bartley to Puhipuhi, where an illicit "whisky" still was discovered ab work. An immediate seizure was made, and the
working plant), together with a man named James MoAmmon, were brought . on to
Auckland by the u.s. Wellington, arriving last night,' between nine and ten o'clock. The prisoner, James McAmmon, was handed over to Constable Smith, and will be brought up before the Police Court this morning, on a charge of being in possession of an illicit still; and of working the same.'
