London, June 24. Five hundred members'of the House of Commons proceeded to Buckingham Palace, and presented the, address of congratulation to the Queen adopted by the House. They were headed by the Speaker attired in his official robes, end preceded by the Sergeant-at-Arm bearing the mace. The Prince of Wales, and the Duke and Duchess of York were present. The Queen expressed herself deeply touched at the loyalty and affection which had been displayed by her subjects throughout the empire, and her sincere gratification at the address received from the House of Commons. The Queen was also waited upon by 200 members of the House of Lords, headed by Lord Chancellor Halsbury, and presented with the address unanimously adopted by that Chamber on Monday last. Yesterday the Queen received a number of the chairmen of county councils, the mayors of the principal provincial towns, and provosts of Scotch cities. GREAT GATHERING OF SCHOOL CHILDREN. A CHARMING SPECTACLE. HER MAJESTY'S GIFTS TO THE LITTLE ONES. Her Majesty, with the Empress Frederic of Germany and Princess Christian of Sclileswig-Holstein, also reviewed a body of ten thousand children, drawn from Board and Elementary Schools in London.' The review took place on Constitution Hill, aud the assembled children formed a charming spectacle. The Queen supplied them with sweets, buns, and milk, and also presented each of them with a medal. Dr. Creighton (Bishop of London) and Cardinal Vaughan (Roman Catholic Archbishop of Westminster) presented an address on behalf of the children to the Queen, who was delighted by this mark of loyalty. THE DEPARTURE FROM LONDON. ANOTHER OUTBURST OF ENTHUSIASM. The Queen left London for Windsor Castle yesterday. AT WINDSOR CASTLE ONCE MOKE. The Queen returned to Windsor Castle somewhat fatigued with the heat and excitement of the last two days. ROYAL APPROVAL OF THE TROOPS. COLONIALS COMPLIMENTED. Lord Wolseley issued a special army order, in which he expressed the Queen's approval of the military arrangements, and her gratification at the appearance of all the forces. The

presence of the Colonial and Indian troops, Lord Wolseley stated, afforded Her Majesty an additional source of pride and satisfaction for their services in connection with the Jubilee celebration. ____
