FOOTBALL. At a meeting of the Referees' Association held last evening at the Metropolitan Hotel referees were, appointed for Saturday's cup matches as under (Seniors), No. 1 ground, Ponsonby v. Parnell, Mr. A. Campbell; No. 2 ground, City v. Grafton, .Mr. Parker; (Juniors). No. 3 ground, Ponsonby 11. v. Parnell 11., Mr. Major; No. 4 ground, City 11. v. Graftonll., Mr. Beck; No. 5 ground, Ponsonby 111, v. Parnell 111., Mr. Pilkington; No. 6 ground, City ill. v. Grafton 111., Mr. Pelham. At Devonport Domain: (Seniors), North Shore v. Newton, Mr. Katterns. At Lake Takapuna: (Juuiors), North Shore 11. v. Newton 11.. Mr. Knox; North Shore 111. v. Newton 111., Mr. Surman. The public school matches will not be resumed until Saturday week.
