TO THE EDITOM. biß,—Surely the fact that* large majority ot Koman Catholics are found in the police force, is solely due to the fact that the police rank" are so largely filled, here as in Englaud, by Irishmen, this beiug no question of religums favouritism, but simply that the force offers attractions to Irishmen, and suits them, as it does not attract and suit the disposition of Englishmen and Scotchmen.— J am, etc., g g
