STATEMENT BY MR. CHAMBERLAIN. Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. London, February 26. In the House of Commons. Mr.Chamberlain, referring to the deadlock between the Volksraad and the High Court of the Transvaal, said the law under the Convention between Great Britain a.nd the Transvaal protected British interests, and the Republic had already declared to the British Government that it would maintain the integrity of the compact.
