AUCKLAND. MESSRS. HOOTER AND NOLAN'S WEEKLY REPORT. Grain, horsefeed, seed: The demand has been moderate, and supply sufficient. We quote: Maize on wharf, '2s 8d bushel; ex store, 2s lid to 3s; feed oats, 2s to 2s 4d; seed oats, 2s 9d; bran,£4 ton; oaten chaff, £3 to £3155. Horses; An average number has been brought forward, and found purchasers with little or no alteration in value as compared with the previous week. Entries for disposal by auction at the Durham \ards were less numerous. : Competition was steady, and most of the lots were cleared, although none of a good stamp were offered. We quote: Draught from £15 to £19; medium draught, £9103 to £14; light harness, £4 10s to £11 IBs; hacks, £310s to £BIBs. Cattle: The supply has been sufficient and good demand has prevailed at little alteration in value. Quite an average number were yarded at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, and the Pukekone Yards were filled on Wednesday, an iucreased number of stores were disposed of, and an unusually large number of dairy cows. Pat beasts were ample for requirements ox beef sold at from 18s to £1 per 1001b: cow, 17s to 103; dairy cows from £2 10s to £6 ss; dry cow and store without alteration in value; fat steers sold from £6 17s 6d to £9; cows, £4 to £6 ss. Sheep were penned at Newmarket <on Tuesday in average numbers, and prices were in favour of the vendor. Wethers sold at from 14s 6d to 18s 6d: ewes, 6s to 15s 6d ; a heavy Lincoln ewe, 27s 6d: mixed sexes, lis 9d to 15* 9d; hoggets. 8s 3d to 12s 3d. Pigs in fair supply and improved demand up to 3d per lb, live weight; porkers, to 265; weaners, 8s 6d. MESSRS. ALFRED ROCKLAND AND SONS' WEKKLY REPORT, At the Haymarket meadow hay has brought from 2* 6d to 3s 9d; oaten sheaves, 2s 6d to 3s; pressed hay, 4s ; carrots, Is 3d ; potatoes, 3s6d; chaff, 3s (xl; bran, 9d; sharps, 4s 6d cwt; maize, 2s 10d; teed oats, Is lid to 2s 4d; seed oats, 2s 8d; beans, 2s lid; wheat, 3s bushel. On Friday horse stock, in less number than of late, kept late values; medium draft brought from £9 to £17 10s; second-hand buggy, £9; spring carts, £5 and £8 15s respectively. On Tuesday, hides, in full numbers, were better worth; stout ox ranged from 4id to Old; light ox, 3d to 4d; cow hides, 2sd to 3jd; calfskins, 2|d to 4£d lb; tallow, 12s to 13s 9d; fat, lid lb. Sheepskins fully kept late values fresh killed skins were from 4s to 6s sd; dry skins, Is lOd to 5s 2d each; fleeco wool, 6Jd; pieces, 3|d lb. At Rsmuera, on Thursday, dairy cows, in usual numbers, were dull of sale. Aged cows, at profit, were from £2 5s to £3155; young cows, £4 17s 6d to £5 17s 6d each Store cattle of all classes sold more freely than las,t week. Young and fat calves numerous, kept last week's improved values; 70 sold. Fat cattle in average number, 198 sold, were better worth than last week, and were steady throughout the sale at from 19s to 21s the lOOlbs. Sheep in usual supply, 1800 yarded. Store sheep easier, but fat sheep obtained an advance over last week's values; prices for ewes were from 9s to 14s 9d; wethers, 8s 9d to 18s 9d each -, three pens of spring lambs brought an average of 12s. Pigs in better supply than for some weeks, sold satisfactorily; porkers were from 153 to 28s; heavy pigs, 40s each; 60 sold. MESSRS. Q. W. BINNEY AND SONS' WEEKLY REPORT. On Tuesday a large catalogue of hides, sheepskins, tallow, bones, etc., sold under brisk bidding. Hides: Extra stout ox, 6d ; stout, 4Jd to sd; medium, 3Jd to 3fd; light and sheetv, 3d to 3Jd ; cow, best lines, 3Jd to 3}d; bulk of sales at 3d ; second class, 2£d to 2id; calfskins, 3d to did; stage, Id to lfd lb; damaged, nominal. Sheepskins: Although competition was brisk, prices were easier throughout. Auckland Wool Stokes, August 12. We had this weak an average catalogue, and every lot was well competed for. Hides showed a distinct improvement on last quotations, while skins were firm at late rates. Hides: We quote prime, stout ox s£d to 6id; heavy, stout, 4£d to sd; light and medium, 2|d to 4d; cow, 2Jd to 3g<l for best; calf. to 3fd; kip. 2£d to 2|d ; stags, ljd togjd. , .OJ Skins; Hoggetts and small, Is 6d to 2s 6d; medium, 3s to 4s; large, 4s 3d to 5s 6d; picked, 6s to 8s 6d. Wool in bags: Fleece, 6|d. Pelts: Limed, up to 4s 3d per dozen. Horns, Hair, and Bones: At an advance on late rates.

NG AIRE, STRATFORD, AND HAWERA, The Egmont Farmers' Union (Limited), Hawera,' report on.August 6:-Mr. E. Harvey's clearing sale of dairy stock, etc., was held at his farm, Mgaire, on Thursday, the 30th utt,, and as the dairy cows were well known and in good condition, they elicited keen competition, resulting in satisfactory prices being obtained. We quote :— Dairy cows, £4 to £6 12s Gd; dairy heifers, £3 to £5 ss; cows and calves, £2 los to £3 10s; calves, 17s; horses, £4 to £15105., Owing to a very wet day, not hal the expected entry of cattle came forward at Stratford last Friday. Bidding was good for springers, aud these being principally what the sale was made up of, most of them sold. We quote springing cows and heifers, £3 5s to £4 193 j store cows, £119s to £2 7s ;2Jyr heifers in calf, £3 to £4 2s 6d; calves, 15s to 193. We held a very successful clearing sale of dairy stock, etc., for Mr. W. Thompson, at his farm, The Oaks, Hawera, on Monday, the 3rd instant. The herd was a choice one, and all the cows were well competed for, the prices for some going from £9 to £910s. The sundries made proportionately good prices. We quote; Dairy cows, £4 10s to £9 10s; dairy heifers, £310s to £6 15s; calves, 83 to £1; horse, trap, and harness. £34. Our fortnightly sale was held in the Hawera Yards on Wednesday, the sth instant. Fully the advertised number of cattle came forward for sale, and the attendance was large. Bidding was brisk for all lines offered, and with the exception of two pens of stock, everything changed hands before leaving the yard. We quote: Fat bullocks, £6 5s to £6 163; tat and forward bullocks, £5 103 to £5 17s; fat cows, £4 to £5 17s: fat and forward cows, £3 to £3175; 2-year steers, £3 103 to £3145; 2to 24-year heifers, £2 lis to £2 19s; store cows and heifers, £2 7a 6d to £2 18s 6d ; dairy cows and heifers, £4 2s 6d to £5 2s 6d; yearlings, £1 Is to £1 lis; sheep, lambs, 6s 8d; pigs, lis to 13s.
