Ulf, of the Wailii Gold Mining Company, has in hand for the Brunnerton Relief Fund £35 19s, consisting of £9 13s fid from the Waihi battery, £20 5s from the Wr.ihi mine, £4 10s from the Waihi brass band, and £110s 6d from the Waihi Band of Hope. The wife and family of the late Frank o'Neil, who met bis death in the Martha mine, being in very indigent circumstances, the Royal Duke of Cambridge Lodge of Oddfellows, of which deceased was a member, is endeavouring to raise sufficient money to clear the mortgage off the house and some six acres of land where Mrs.' O'Neil and her children now reside. Subscription lists are now being circulated in the district. Mrs. Brooking, widow of the late Constable Brooking, has been presented with a purse containing 20 sovereigns, by sympathisers at Waihi,'
