Warden's Court.—The nsual fortnightly sitting of this Court should have taken place to-day, but owing to the absence of the Warden, Mr, Eyre Kenny, in Auckland as witness at the Supreme Court, the sitting was adjourned till to-morrow.

BRILLIANT. A cablegram has been received from London stating that the Favona—Briliant property has gone to allotment. From the above wo infer that the company has been successfully floated. The capital is £200,000, of which £130,000 was offered to the publio.

LEAP YEAR (KARANGAHAKE). By the outward San Francisco mail Messrs. Gabriel Lewis and Co., of Auckland, in conjunction with Messrs. Morris and Edwards, Bank Chambers, forward fullest particulars to London regarding the Leap Year special claim, Karaugahake, which property includes the well-known Bulletin, Bullion, and Goldbeater licensed holdings,with the surrounding ground, including the Bullion surplus. Th fl claim comprises, 76a 3r, and has three known reefs, one of which is about 13 feet in width, said to assay well from wall to wall. Tho other reefs are smaller. There is also a waterright in the Dubbo Creek, which should be quit*! adequate for many years to come.

TALISMAN G.M. CO. A meeting of directors of the Talisman Gold Mining Company was held yestorday at Mr. D. G. MacDonnell's office to consider an offer received for the purchase of the company's property. Negotiations were forwarded satisfactorily. The terms of the offer have not been allowed to tranvpire. GREAT UNITED GOLD MINING COMPANY. The half-yearly meeting of the Great United Gold Mining Company was called for yesterday afternoon at the office of Mr. J. H. Harrison, but there was not a quorum present The directors' report aud balancesheet as drawn up were submitted to those in attendance, the latter showing a credit balance in the bank of £489 4s Id. PUKEWHAU G.M.C. The half-yearly meeting of the shareholders in the above company, which was to have been held at the office of the manager, Mr. J. H. Harrison, yesterday, lapsed for want of a quorum. Mr. H. Brett, however, took the chair and submitted the directors' report and balance-sheet for the information of those present. The report stated that a vory satisfactory trial crushing of seven tons of ore had been made, which resulted in a yield of 7oz 3dwt 12gr, value £19 Bs. The balancesheet as read showed a bank balance of £207 128 9d. MAY QUEEN. A meeting of directors of the May Queen G.M. Co. was held yesterday afternoon, for the purpose of considering matters in relation to the flotation of the property in London. It is understood that everything is proceeding satisfactorily, and that finality may looked for io a few days. AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. The market yesterday was firmer than on the previous day. Investment stocks were in demand, and there were no sellers at rates to suit would-be buyers. Iu Thames stocks there were sales in Hazelbanks at 3s 6d, with further buyers at the price ; and there were exchanges in Moanataiaris at lis, with buyers at 10s and sellers at 10s 9d, In Upper Thames stocks there was a strong call for Talismans, and business was done up to 10s 6d, with buyers at 10s, and sellers at 10s 3d. In Coromandel stocks, Pride of Tokateas were freely dealt in from Is 2d to Is sd, with buyers at Is 4d and sellers at Is 6d, Four-in-Hands and Pukewhaus also saw business done.
