[by tblkqkapu.—PKKSS association.] CiinisTCiiCßCH, Thursday. The fourteenth annual report of the Canterbury (Belfast.) Frozen Meab Company shows that, after writing £4000 off tho works for wear-and-toar and depreciation, and transferring £2000 to reserve fund, there remains at credit of profit and loss account the sum of £2805 lGs. Of this, £1200 was distributed in September as an interim
dividend of four por cent., and the directors recomraond a further dividend at the rate of five per cent., making nine per cent), for the year. This absorbs £1500, and leaves £105 to carry forward. There was a marked increase in the stock dealt with at tho Company's works, the numbers for the year ended February 29 being: Sheep, 323,491; lambs, 227,301; cattle. 192; pigs, 8293. Two reductions in freezing charges have been made during the year. The principal additious to tho works have been the duplication of the manure-drying plant and the erection of a large Hercules refrigerator. The Company have been now in active operation for 13 years, and for that poriod tho total dividends paid (including the present one) amount to 102 percent., while an aggregate of £32,753 14s haa been written off the works account, and £5877
14s 6d accumulated as reserves.
