[FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENTS. ] Hamilton, Monday. At a meeting of the Waipa Cricket Associa» tion the following team to visit the Maunkau next month was chosen Hamilton, Housley and Gothorpe; Cambridge, Lusk. Case, and the Rev. Mr. Hudson ; Taupiri. Gleeson; Alexandra, Blaokett, Aubin, ana Bowden; Te Awamutu, Callis: Tuhikaramea, N. Reid, Richdale, and Livingstone. The association fixture which was to have been played at Hamilton on Saturday last, between the Alexandra and Taupiri clubs, was after all adjourned to a later date. The Hamilton lawn tennis club have arranged to play a series of matches here at Easter against a visiting team from Mount Albert, and on Friday afternoon the secretary of the Hamilton club received a letter from the Parnell club asking if a match between the two clubs (Hamiltou and I'arnell) could not be arranged for Easter also. At a meeting held on the courts on Saturday afternoon, it was decided to try and play both teams. The choice of players to represent the Hamilton club has not yet been made, but all are practising assiduously with the hope of getting into the team. Ghaupo, Monday. The cattle sale oil Tuesday last was anything but a good one. There was a full muster of cattle offered, but no demand for them. This was 110 doubt owing to the continued dry weather, farmers being by no means satisfied as yet as to the welfare of the turnip crop. A few fat cows, but reached law prices. Calves were pleutiful and 01 good quality, but few were sold. Dairy stock was fairly represented, but none oi first-class quality, and were mostly passed. Some nice steers from Raglan were offered, but they, too, were passed. Tamahere, Monday. At the monthly meeting of the Tamahere Road board, there were present; Messrs. Rhodes, Wheeller, and Furze. Mr. Rhodes, iu the absence of Captain Runcimau, occupied the chair. "The Board resolved to summons Tene Tuh&rkaraina for the money spent in clearing the road of furze on the land opposite his property, and instructed the clerk to prosecute all persons having property so situated who had not cleared their furze within a month. The clerk reported that the Board's credit account at date was £103 9s

9d, and with the rates now due (£46), and subsidy, would give an available sum for expenditure of about £161. It has been dedecided to gravel the road between the Tauwhare Hotel and Urigsby's gate. Cambridge, Monday. A petition largely signed by residents of Cambridge West and Papakura has been presented to the chairman of the Papakura Road Board, asking him to convene a meeting for Friday, March '27, to consider the action of the Domain Board in the matter of excessive expenditure at Cambridge East, It has for many years been a sore point with the residents of Cambridge West that the bulk of their revenue lias been spent in Cambridge East. Cambridge West residents are not directly represented on the Board, which is a nominated body, and has been in office orer 17 years.
