THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Saturday. The weather was tine for the cricket matches at Parawai to day, and the attendance was fair. In the senior match, Unite! y. Rovers, the former made 42, Izo.l, II nit out, and Bennett, 9, being the chief scorers. The Rovers at call of time had lost fi wicketi for 58 runs, A. Lang 17 not out, I'. Billing 8, A. Billing 7, being the chief scorers. Roren thus won by four wickets and 11 rum. la the junior match, High School v. United, the former made 27. Hetherington *' Garcia 4 not out, were the chief contributors' United, however, made 73—Hall, 27, not oat; Wilcox, 20; extras, 10. As the Tarani juniors have given up their matches, this match to-day finished the junior contests, United iuuiors winning the badges, with the High School as runners up.
WELLINGTON. [Br TELEGRAPH. —PRRSS ASSOCIATION.]
Wellington, Sunday. In the Senior Cup.matches Wellington, playing against Midland, oulv made 81 in the first limines, to well contributing 34. Upham took 7 wickets for 40. Being in a minority 211, Wellington followed on, and lost 3 wickets for 49—Severs, not out, 22. Uphum took two of the wickets at small cost, Rivals defeated Phauix by 6 wickets.
