EXCURSION TO ROTORUA.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT]. Hamilton, Friday. The school children of the VVaikato, who went up to Rotorqn to-day by excursion train to the number of several hundreds, met with a very cordial reception from the people of that place. They wero piet on arrival by a capital band belonging to the Maori people of the district. Refreshments were liberally provided, after which a liaka was performed. For the children special amusement was provided. The local anthorities had very thoughtfully set aside the use of the Rachel' Bath far the girls and the Blue Bath for the use of the boys from twelve noon to four o'clock. The weather was as favourable us could be desired, and all spcn><|! to have thoroughly enjoyed themff)l\c «ii|i the trip.
