DISPUTED SALE OF A PATENT

[BI m*ORiPn.—PHKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. An application was made to-day by Mr. Skerrott, on behalf the American Tobacco Company of New Zealand, as assignee of the Munson patent cigarette • making Maohine, to oxpunge an entry appearing in the Rigister of Patents, relating bo the sale of the patent to E. E. Partridge and Co., Tobacconists, Auckland, on'the ground that it was not a proper arrangement, and that the interest in the patent was not intended to pass until the completion of the purchase, and that there was no evidence before the Registrar that the agreement with Partridge and Co. was binding on Munson. Mr. Campbell opposed the motion, which was made with £10 10s costs.
