A SMART CAPTURE

[BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Sunday. Frederick Hornk, the lato secretary of the Dunedin Finance and Loan Company, who disappeared about five months ago, was arrested on Saturday, just as he was about to board the barque Brier Holme, wool-laden for London. The police were on the alert, and having ascertained that a man named Christian Anderson had been booked, bub was not on board, Detective O'Connor and Sergeant Georin went as far as the Heads with the barque. Some five miles from Port Chalmers a boat put off from the shore, in which Home was a paisengor. When the pilot-boat put off Deteotlvo O'Connor oaptured his man, and brought him to town. The alleged defalcations are said to be over £1000.
