FRANKLIN AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY'S SHOW.
The Committee of the above uro now busy over the aunual show, which iB to be held on March 12. They sat late, on Tuesday evening putting matters forward a bit, on important subject being selecting the judges, and fixing stewards for the different classes. The schedules are now printed, a largo number of special prizes having been very kindly given by Auckland's business men with their usual liberality, and everything promises so tar for a very successful meeting.. It is expected thero will be a large number of entries. An offer was received from the Newton Band to supply the.music, whioh was accepted, so the public may rely on that being first-class in their hands.' The railway authorities are making good concessions, and will inn trains at excursion rates—ld per mile second class, 2d first class; the tiokets to last till Monday; also, train returning to Auckland and Waikato on the evening of the show, by which cattle and goods as well as passengers cau return if wished. Matters are thus promising well for a big day at Pukekohe on March 12th, and a better day's outing could not well be had by Auckland citizens, for in addition to the show they will see a grand surrounding country, and will receive a hearty welcome from their Pukekohe friends,—[Mauku Correspondent.] "
