'f ar&uaki in the first innings compiled 69, Syme, 17: Moore, 13, and Hcoiuu, 10, being the htoHeat scorers, Cole nod Haieney took most wiokets, ,Nelson's total score tor one innings was 64, Broad, 24, and Cole, 15, contributing the greatest number. Mills and McCarthy were the moat successful with the ball. When the stumps were drawn Taranaki had lost four wicket* for 61 runs'. The game will be resumed to-morrow.
