WRECKAGE SIGHTED OFF NORFOLK ISLAND.

I Captain W. 0. Garth, of the schooner Aladdin, which arrived at Sydney on December 26 from Norfolk and Lord Howe Islands, reports passing a large square Oregon log and tho whole poop deck of a ship on the 4th inn. in latitude SOdcg. 18mio. south, longitude 169deg. east. He lowered a boat and found that the wreckage id evidently been forced off by an ezplesioti, or by water-logged timber, as it had been lifted bodily, the crossbeams being in their places. The front railing was newly painted red, and it seemed to hare been scarcely a month in the water, as no barnacle or grass was attached. The wreckage seemed to be part of an American vessel of 600 or 700 tons, but there were no means of identification.
