As soon us the ballast is discharged she will commence taking in cargo for London. At the Queen-street Wharf the schooner Aotea is loading up for East Coast porta, and will sail to-morrow. The Tyser Company's steamer Star of Victoria is due from Sydney to-morrow. On discharge of her consignments from London the vessel will take in cargo for London, and leave for the South on Saturday, Yesterday morning the ship Wolverene, which took the ground during the blow on Sunday morning, was towed off, it taking three' of the Uevonport Ferry Company's , steamers to get her afloat, she having gono l on the bank at the top of high water. On Thursday night last, the Union Com. pany's steamer Ovalan left Sydney for this port, and is expected to arirVo to-morrow. She leaves for Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and Sydney on the 16th instant. The schooner Alice May arrived at Sydney from Norfolk Island on Christmas Day, &'',er a quick passage of six days. THE WAIHORA. The Union Company's steamer Waihora left Gisborne for this port last night, and is expected to arrive about nine o'clock tonight. She leaves for Sydney at 7 p.m. tomorrow, THE ROTOMAHANA. The Union Company's steamer Rotomabana is expected to arrive from Sydney early this morning, and leaves for Southern porta, Hobarc, and Melbourne, at midnight. THE STRATHNEVIS. The steamer Strathnevis, which Was picked up at sea by the Canadian mail steamer Miowera, and towed to Vancouver, was bound from Tacoma to Yokohama, and hid 123 passengers and a large and valuable cargo on board, the passengers being principally Chinese. She left Tacoma on October 12, and was considerably overdue when the Monowai left San Francisco, fears being entertained for her safety. The vessel belongs to the "Strath" line of Glasgow, and is one of the 33 steamships owned by that company. She was built at Newcastle-on-Tyuo, and was launched in July, 1894. Her length is 365 feet over-all, her beam 43 feet, and depth of hold 27 feet She has a net tonnage of 2303 and s. gross tonnage of 3574, and a dead weight carrying capacity of 5700 tons. Her engines, which were built at Newcastle-on-Tync, are triple expansion, with surface condensers, and have a power of 1500 effective horse-power. Her speed is ten and ahalf knots an hour, and in appearance she realises the ideal of a modem fast freighter. With passengers and crew the number of persons on board when she sailed was about 159.
