Negotiations for the floatation of the Monowai property in Great Britain have, as already stated, been entered into, and by to-day's mail documents necessary will bo sent Homo.
MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Tararo Crkkk (Thames, December 21).— Norfolk section -. Stoning operations above the intermediate level on the California reef have been carried on as usual. There are now three topes in progress. The first and second havoeaoh been oxtonded 54 feet and the third 30 feet. Tho reef in the latter has opened out to fully 12 feet in thickness. The dirt coming from here is heavily mineralised with galena ore and gives fair prospects of free gold. The lon- level on the same reef extending eastward from the rise has advanced a further distance of 10 feet, making tho total distance driven 164 feet. The reef in the face is fully three feet in width. The Missouri main crosscut is now advanced 166 feet from the California reef. There is every appearance of a chango for the better coming in. A little water is now coming from the face. Diinedin section:' 1 lie total distanco driven on the Day Dawn reef at the low level is 172 feet, 10 feet having been covered during the week. The reef in the face is fully three feet in thick nes.*. The whole of the dirt from here has been saved for treatment. The frihuters' level on the same reef has been carried forward a further distance of 12 feet making the total distance driven on the run of gold at this level 193 feet. The reef in the present face is three feet in width and shows colours of gold. Two stopes are in progress above this level, the lirst is extended 53 feet and the second 33 feet. The reef here averages three feet and gold is freely seen. air headway is being made with cleaning out the City of Dunediu low level. The distance now repaired is 315 feet. A crosscut has been started from this level to interseot the Ladybird reef. The amalgam on hand was retorted to day for a return of IfiSoz lldwt, valued at £3 4s lOd per ounce. This yield is from 300 loads of dirt. There am now on hand about six tons of blanketings and skimmings from the ripples, which should give another 10nz of gold.
