THE CHRISTCHURCH ASSAULT CASE.

[BY TJtMURAPII.-PRIiSS association.) Christciiurch, Wednesday. The Magistrate's Court yesterday was occupied until a lata hour with the charge against Dr. l)e Renzie, T. H. Harman, R. Brown, and A. Reynolds of assaulting R. 1). Thomas, Chairman of the Hospital Board. Dr. De Renzie was committed for trial, though the Magistrate expressed tho opinion that the case was one which should have been brought under the section allowing of its being dealt with summarily. The charge against tho others was dismissed.
