Esam and Arthur's Weekly Retort.—Beyond the demand for export, tho produce market has been restricted to immediate wants, prices practically remaining at previous quotations. The dairy produce is in a similar condition. Fruit has been quitted almost immediately on arrival, privately, and at remunerative rates. Poultry has, as usual at this time of the year, been in large supply. Potatoes met with better demand although, but little improvement in value. Butter, all kinds, a drug. Eggs in keen demand. Bacon and hams sold better, but cheese is dull of sale. We offered this week a large catalogue of hides, skins, wool, fat, etc., all of which sold at satisfactory figures. Hides: The collection this week was tint of the best, but all good lines sold up to late rates. Damaged and sloppy sorts were not in request. Sheepskins: These were firm, although at times bidding was somewhat irregular. Wool: We sold a considerable quantity of biige, fadges, etc., at exceedingly satisfactory orices, as follows Crossbred, 61d to GJd; lialfbred, 6}d; black,6d; cotts, Gid; pieces, 4jd to Did; bellies, 4}d; dead, 4H to Gid; a few bales crossbred, 6Jd to 7d. The continued fine weather is bringing forward wool very rapidly, both for shipment and local sale. Market remains very firm. Tallow, 15s to 17s 6d per cwt; rough fat, lid per lb.
