RECIPROCAL TREATIES.
[BT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. Last night's cable message from London, attributing to Lord Ripon the statement that New Zealand was the only colony permitted to enter into reciprocal treaties with the other colonies is evidently a mistake, as the contrary is the case, New Zealand under the Imperial Act of 1873 being deprived of the power to enter into treaties of this nature.
