THE WALLAROO. Shortly after eight o'clock last night H.M. twin-screw steel cruiser Wallaroo, Captain W. H. B. Graham, arrived from Samoa, anchoring at the man-of-war ground. She left Pango Pango on the 9th instant at 6 p.m., and experienced splendid weather all the passage. The Wallaroo, it will bo remembered, was ordered from Akaroa to the iSew Hebrides when the Ringarooma was on the reef near Mallicolo, and after rendering assistance to the stranded ship, proceeded to Noumea, and was then ordered on to Apia to relieve the Curacoa and has remained on the station_ ever since. The health of the crew not being as satisfactory as could be wished, owing to the extreme heat and moisture prevailing almost the whole time that the ship has been at Samoa it was deemed advisable to run across to New Zealand to give the men the advantage of the change of climate. The future movements of the vessel are at present uncertain. The personnel of the officers remains the same as when the Wallaroo was last at this port with the exception that Lieutenant Mansell. of the Lizard, has temporarily taken Lieutenant Buckland's place, the latter having been invalided home, Mr. Watts is chief engineer, and Dr. Anderson, surgeon.
