SPORTING.
Acceptances (for the ITakapuna Cup, Handicap Steeplechase, and the various events ol the first day's racing, to be held under the auspices of the Takapuna, Jockey Club on she 26th inst., close on Friday next. The Onslow Trotting Club intend holding a meeting at Potter's Paddock on Saturday, February 2. The following is the programme :—Maiden Trot Handicap of SOsovs, oue and a-half miles; Maiden Pony Handicap of 20sovs, threequarters of a mile; Onslow Trotting Cup of 50sovs, two miles ; Flying Stakes of 25sovs, threequarters of a mile; Harness Trot Handicap of 35sovs, two miles Pony Hurdles Handicap of 25sovs, one and a-half miles ; Electric Trot of 35sotb, one mile. Nominations close on Friday next, at nine p m.
