TO THE EDITOR, Sir, — observe in one of your comments on the charge of treason against a French officer, you stated his name evidently shows he is of Jewish extraction. Ido not know upon what authority you base your conten- • tion ; but, if he is, he is evidently a Jewish . renegade, because the Jews as a nation are pre-eminently loyal in every country where they are treated as human beings, and that . loyalty stands out in bright contrast to others.—l am, etc., Chacdn a Son Gout.
