Mr. Joseph Myers, a member of the Wellington City Council, is ab present on a visit to Auckland. Captain George Allnian left Dunedin for Wellington yesterday to take up his position as Nautical Adviser to the Government. Captain A. L. Shaube, formerly of the barque Essex, in the New Zealand-New York trade, is now master of the Boston ship Sea Witch, trading between that porb and Barcelona and Sicily. Captain B. W. Cbadbourne, late of the barquentine Elinor Vernon in the New Zealand-New York trade, is now master of the barque Fred P. L. Litchfield, which left New York for Port Chalmers last month. Visitors staying at Mr. C. E. Morgan's, Spring Grove, Mahurangi Heads, December 31: Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham and child, Mr. and Miss Henton, Master Henton, Mr. and Mrs. Edminston, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, Master Player. ■
