Yesterday Mr. J. L. Holland, iecrebary of he Auckland Society of Arts, received advices that a number of pictures were beine sent up from Nelson for the Exhibition. To-day and to-morrow exhibits will be received by (he secretary at the Choral Hall, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is every prospect of a large number of entries. We regret to learn that Mr. Ryan, the well-known artist, who has been a regular exhibitor, has been seized with an attack of typhoid fever, and is at present in the District Hospital. , .
