THE MYRA KEMBLE SEASON.
There was a splendid house yesterday evening at the Opera House, to witness the re-production of " The Profligate." It was a notable fact and one which spoke eloquently for the merits of the piece that many who were present on Monday to see the piece first produced were again in evidence, and the success of Monday was more than repeated. lb was intensified to such a degree that again everyone felt it to be a pity that the piece could only be played in Auckland once more— to-night. Such, however, has to be the case. On Thursday " The New Magdalen", will be produced, with Miss Kemble as "Mercy Merrick," a character she has played in Australasia, England, and America a greater ■ number of times than can be tabulated. The visitors for the swimming championship competitions will be present at the production. On Friday Mr. Leibch takes bis benefit at the final performance.
