THE NEW ZEALAND CRICKET TEAM.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] 0 Wellington, Thursday. e The Wellington Cricket Association has ? derided to communicate with the Canterbury » Cricket Association asking that Mr. Ollivier 1 (who has been chosen to select the New 8 Zealand team to play the New South Wales ' team) should confer with the local Selection ' Committee in the selection of the Wellington _ reps for the team. The Times objects to Mr. Ollivier , being , deputed to pick the New Zealand team to play against New South Wales, and conr tends that men should have been chosen , like football fifteens by a committee of _ three ' after consulting each Association. 4 The whole matter appears to be cut and „ dried by Southerners, who want to play p the match in the South, pick the team, and ,E run the whole show,. , The Tunes article ; -betrays a rather bitter, feeling, and hints 1 that Wellington has been entirely ignored up r to the present, and will very likely have o nothing to do with thu match. -
