Kanieri, s.s., Johnston, from Waitara.— Northern S.S. Co., agents.
The Union S.S. Company's steamer Takapuna, Captain John Grant, arrived from the South and New Plymouth on Saturday night. Mr. George Crawley, the purser, reports that the steamer left Wellington at 8 p.m. on the 15th inst., and arrived at Taranaki at 10 a.m. on the 16th. Left again the same day at noon, entered Manukau Heads at 10 p.m., arriving at Onehunga as above. Fine weather was experienced throughout. The Northern S.S. Company's steamer Gairloch.Captain A. McArthur, arrived from New Plymouth on Saturday afternoon. She left the Breakwater on Friday at 10.20 p.m . Crossed the Manukau Bar at 11.30 ii.m., and arrived at Onehunga Wharf at 1.5 p.m. on Saturday. Light S.W. winds and smooth sea prevailed during the trip. Yesterday morning the Northern S.S. Company's steamer Kanieri arrived from Waitara.
