The Sydney larrikins who have been committed for trial for the murder of Thomas Pert received the verdict with indifference, but shortly after it had been given three or four of the youths exhibited some uneasiness. The change, however, was only temporary. Much of their former buoyancy of spirits returned, and cigarette smoking was resorted to.
