EVIDENCE AT THE COURT-
MARTIAL.
ADMIRAL TRYON'S LAST WORDS.
" IT IS ALL MY FAULT."
Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.— London, July 18. At the court-martial concerning the loss of H.M.S. Victoria, Admiral Tryon's flag-lieutenant, Lord Guilford, stated that "after the collision occurred the Admiral exclaimed, "It is all my fault."
Staff-Commander T. H. Smith, of H.M.S. Victoria, also deposed that Admiral Tryon admitted that the collision was entirely his own fault.
London, July 19.
At the enquiry, to-day, Captain Bourke admitted that he ought to have reversed the Victoria's screws without orders, and said he would have done so if Admiral Tryon had not been present. Staff-Commander T. Hawkins Smith said he thought that the evolution required about a distance of 10 cables,
