IMPERIAL PARLIAMENT.

THE PRIME MINISTER AND MR. CHAMBERLAIN. Press Association.— Telegraph.—Copyright. London, June 6. In the House of Commons, Mr. Chamberlain denied a charge brought by the Daily News, of insulting and interrupting the Premier and trying to wear him. He moved, "That the remarks of the News constituted a breach of privilege." Mr. Balfour said he recognised the Premier as one of the greatest figures in Parliamentary history, and would give him more than fair play. Mr. Gladstone said he understood the interruption as having no personal relation to himself, and as merely an expression of sentiment. Mr. Chamberlain withdrew his motion.
