SCHOOL COMMITTEE NOMINA TIONS.
Parnell.Tho following gentlemen have beon nominated for seats on the Parnell School Committee :—Messrs. N . W. Pollard, H. Schofioid, J. Field, Charles Kay, J. Wilson, Isaac Hill, and H. Green. There being only seven nominations for the nino seats other nominations will bo received at tho general mooting of householders on Monday next. NSWMARKKT. —Tho following ton gentlemen have been nominated as candidates for the Newmarket School Committee, and as only nino are required, and it is possible that others may bo nominated ab the public meeting of householders a ballot will bo necessary —Messrs. William Parker Such, Archibald Menzie, William H. Pooley, John M. Laxon, John McCnll, Robert W. Edwards, Nathaniel Randall, John Lumpkin, Charles R. Bishop, and W. W, Whyraan. Mount Eukn.—The names of Messrs. C. Nicholls and F. G. Plabb wore omitbed from tho names of the candidates nominated for seats on the Mount Eden School Committee, lb appears that Mr. Gray (the chairman) was absent when these nominations were sent in, and the secretary was not aware that they had been nominated. Auckland Citv. —Wo are informed that ib is probable that there will be 15 or 18 candidates for seats on the Auckland City Committee. Amongst others to bo nominated at bho general meeting are Dr. McArthur, Principal of Queens College, and Dr. Bakewell.
