llie Union S.S. Company's steamer Upola left for Tonga and Samoa last evening, with the usual miscellaneous cargo of timber, meats, Evening the Union S.S. Company's Last evening the Union S.S. Company s steamer Australia left for the East Coast and Wellington. The Northern S.S. Company's steamers Clansman, for Russell and the North, and Wellington and Douglas, for Whangarei, all left last evening. The Union S.S. Co.'s steamer Kanieri is in the Auckland Graving Dock for cleaning and painting. She is to come out to-day and leave foe, the East Coast in the evening. The coastal schooner Awanui will leave for East Coast porta day. To-day the schooner Gisborne will start loading up for the East Coast. She takes a quantity of consignments from London by the direct steamer Duke of Devonshire. The schooner Waiapu berthed at the Queen-street Wharf yesterday, and will start discharging to-day. The departure of the Northern S.S. Co.'a steamer Waiotahi for Tauranga and Opotiki has been postponed until this evening at 7 o'clock. The Union S.S. Co.'s steamer Ohau left Gisborne for this port yesterday, and is due to-morrow morning. She will leave for Westport at'2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. The Union S.S. Co.'s steamer Manapouri is due from Sydney to-day, and leaves for the South, Hobart, and Melbourne to-morrow. It will be seen by a cable message in another part of this issue that the mail steamer Monowai which left this port on Friday evening last for Sydney met with a rough experience iu a southerly gale, having »11 her deck cabins washed out.
