AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Agricultural Association was held at Hurst and Co.'s rooms, Queen-street, yesterday. Mr. W. F. Massey presided, and there was a good attendance of members. The business was, of course, of a routine character in furtherance of tho arrange ments for the forthcoming show. It was announced that arrangements had been made by the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company for an exhibition of the Silver shearing machine, an expert from Sydney being sent to operate the instrument. The VVolseley shearing machine is also to be on exhibition, Mr. John Chambers, the local agent, having arranged for two men to come from Napier to work it. The vacancy in the list of judges for sheep was filled up, Mr. Thomas Hall, of Raglan, having telegraphed a reply accepting the position. The secretary announced that entries for the show were coming in freely, and the visit of members of the committee to Waikato was the means of procuring large entries in cattle, sheep, and horses, and it was expected that most of the prizewinners at the Waikato Show would be exhibited at the Auckland Show. Committees were appointed to supervise the arrangements on the ground for the show, and they will personally inspect with the class stewards the details as to classification, etc.
