WILL'S SURPRISE PARTY.
This really entertaining variety company produced their second programme last evening to a large audience. Every item was received with hearty applause, and the funnyisms of the " burnt cork" comedians provoked roars of laughter. Everything was new, the opening scene being as pretty as anything yeb given here by a variety company. Mons. Provo, the clever juggler, gave in addition to his wonderful feats of dexterity an ei iiibition of shadowgraphy, which is comparatively new bo Auckland, and must be seen bo be appreciated. Miss Verne delighted the audience with new serio-comic ditties, and Misses Williams and Clifford in new songs and dances provoked imperative encores. Dave Gardner, as he always is, was delightfully comic. The excellent rendering of the piece, " Sweet and Low," by the Surprise Quartette Party, was one of the most taking items of the evening, and received a well-merited double encore. This programme is a decided improvement on the last, and will be repeated to-night, when it certainly deserves a bumper house.
