A very excellent fancy dress ball, given by Mrs. Revitb to her pupils and their friends, took place on Monday night, at Sb. Bonaventura Hall, Parnell. There were about 40 couples present, and many of the dresses were very handsome. A good band furnished the requisite music, and dancing was kept up with great spirit and pleasure until nearly two o'clock in the morning. The great sale of clothing, hats, shirts, etc., at Victoria Arcade affords ap opportunity of buying first-class goods at a very low price. George Fowlds has large shipments to arrive from Home next month ; and, as his accommodation is limited, he is compelled to clear out £4000 worth to make room. The value offering is quite phenomenal. H. M. Stanley and other travellers testify to the excellence of Dr. Jaeger's sanitary woollen underclothing for all climates. Varieties most suitable for New Zealand wear at J. W.
