MAJOR LE CARON'S BOOK
' THE IRISH REVOLUTIONARY PARTY. - MR. PARNELL AND THE BROTHERHOOD. PLOT TO DESTROY THE HOUSE OF COMMONS. Prut Aitoeiation.—Electric Teltttravh.—Copyright. London, October 18. The book published bj Major Le Caron is disappointing. It contains no fresh revelations of importance, though it provides ample continuation of the correctness of the statements made before the Times' Parnell Commission. According to the author, in 1881, when the Clan na-Gael Society was conducting an active policy in Ireland, Devoy told Le Caron that he had received a letter from Parnell stating that he was exasperated at the condition of affairs, and was willing to do anything. Kgan told LeCaron that Parnell was all right, as a revolutionist, and desired to loin the Irish Revolutionary Brotherhood, but his nomination was rejected, the members believing that he would think more of the society if he were not a member of it. In the course of an interview in the corridor of the House of Commons, Parnell told LeCaron that he saw no reason why an open insurrectionary movement was not possible. Daly intended to destroy the House of Commons, while in session, by throwing bombs on the table in front of the Speaker, and to seize the stone of Scone from Westminster Abbey, but the plot failed owing to the treachery of an informer.
