A PARIS CANARD.
Paris, May 21. Roulez, the Parisian clubman who declared that he had fought four successive duels last week, and severely injured all his opponents, now declares that the whole story is a myth.
THE OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND INVESTMENT COMPANY. London, May 20. The Otago and Southland Investment Company's yearly meeting was held to-day. The Chairman said enquiries were being made as to the prospects of investing in the Cape. A dividend of oix per cent, was declared. REPORTED REVOLT IN BULGARIA. London, May 19. Dalziell's Agency lias received a telegram reporting that a revolution has broken out in Bulgaria, and that Prince Ferdinand has been dethroned. Sofia, May 21. Dalziell's telegram stating that a revolt had taken place in Bulgaria is denied.
CHARGE AGAINST A RUSSIAN QUACK. St. Petersburg, May 21. Gatschowsky, who was arrested on a charge of being the quack doctor to whom was attributed the death of M. Gresser, Prefect of Police, lias been released from custody, the authorities being unable to sustain the charge against him.
