Considerable progress is being made with j the drilling of the lads in the city public j schools, the drill instructors from the | Permanent Artillery entering into the duty i ■ with spirit and interest. About '20 lads from the sixth standard in each school are receiving special attention with a view of giving them the opportunity of witnessing , the " sham fight" at the Bastion on Queen's ( j Birthday.
