Grifeiths lias written to th« Agent-General expressing regret at the several misunderstandings which have occurred with the Bank of England. The charges would never have been made had the Colonial Treasurer been aware of the extent to which the Bank had aided Queensland. London, March 11. The Bank of England lias received no official intimation of Sir Samuel Griffith's apology, and the management of the institution were astonished to see the announcement of the apology in the London dailies.
