BANKRUPTCY.

DEBTOR'S STATEMENT

Felix Rhodes in his depositions before the Official Assignee yesterday, made the following statement :—I am a native of Commanded and have been employed generally in bush work. I have always been able to pay my way until about two years ago, when work in the bushes began to get scarce. About eighteen months ago, I took a bush contract amounting to £240. I employed four men, I drew nothing for myself, and when the contract wa« finished 1 was in debt for stores to my principal creditor to the extent of £12 or £14. Since then I have had another contract job which still further increased my liability, and being pressed by my creditors, one of whom has obtained a judgment order against me, 1 decided to tile. Beyond the £5 worth of furniture mentioned in my schedule, I have absolutely no assets.
