THE DIRECT MAIL STEAMERS. THE TAINUI AT WELLINGTON. Wellington, September 23.—'The Shaw, Savill.nnd Albion Company's R.M.s. Tainui, Captain Evans, arrived from London at 7 a.m. Her dates are: Plymouth, August 9 ; Terifle, 14th: Cape, 30th; Hobart, September 19th. Variable weather was experienced throughout tho voyage, which was uneventful. She brings 17 packages mails, 32 boxes parcel post, and 101 passengers for New Zealand. Mr. J. McPhcrson, late of the Mainari, comes as chief engineer. Her passengers for Auckland are:—Saloon : Mr. and Mrs. Webber. Second saloon: Messrs. Oetzmun and La Trobe. Third class : Misses Multitude and Greenough, Mesdames Bultitude, Dawson, Greenough, Michel, Stewart, Messrs. Corlett, Greenough, Larmer, Michel, Magorinan, Moir, Niohol, Parker. For Tauranga : Saloon : Messrs. Chapman and Cheston.
